PAYMENT
In order to be placed on the design schedule you are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% of your entire order. Once your deposit is received you will be placed in the next available opening on my design schedule. If you are not put on the design schedule due to ordering a "rush" or bits n' pieces, you are required to pay the full amount upfront.
There is a 6.8% paypal fee/service charge added to every order. This covers all fees charged to us by paypal, as well as all of the booking and communication time involved in the design process.
The method of payment accepted by Special Made Designs is Paypal.
HOSTING
I design for blogs using Google's blogger product (Blogspot) only. If you send your deposit and do not host through Blogspot, please note that your deposit is still non-refundable.
COPYRIGHT
All of the images including all aspects of the blog design are property of Special Made Designs. Special Made Designs owns the copyright to all of the designed items including, but not limited to, text, backgrounds, headers, illustrations, watermarks, logos, business card designs, and any other graphics designed for you. All components of your blog design including the background, header, and any custom graphics must remain intact. You may not remove, replace, or alter any components of your blog design, as it will no longer be a representation of my work. If you no longer want an aspect of your blog design, you must go to the template options and choose a new "minima" template. This will erase my design entirely.
No header, background, design, or graphic is to be altered, duplicated, modified, transferred, or provided to any 3rd party without written consent from Special Made Designs. A redesign or update is always a possibility. Please email me to discuss the options. Your blog design may only be installed on one URL. If you desire to use the design on any additional URL's please contact Special Made Designs for additional costs. You may NOT add the design code to any other URLs for any reason without permission from Special Made Designs.
You may not take any designed graphic from your blog design and use it to create a coordinating graphic for your blog as that is a violation of the copyright.
COMMUNICATION
Special Made Designs is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm (MST). We may be in and out of the office during the day, but you can expect return emails during our time of operation. You may occasionally receive emails outside of that time, but please do not expect it.
When the date comes to start your design, please check your email often. This process often requires many quick back and forth emails during the duration of the design process. The quicker we can communicate the quicker we can get your new design finished and installed. Special Made Designs has the right to change your estimated start week if circumstances require it. You will receive and email notifying you right before the design process is started.
COMPATABILITY
There are many different browsers out there and each has several versions as well. Special Made Designs suggests that you update your browser to the most current version offered. We design to meet the standards that comply with the latest browser versions and are not responsible for inconsistencies that may appear when older browser versions are used.
DESIGN CREDITS
Upon installation a Special Made Designs button will be placed in one of your sidebars. You may not remove or alter it in anyway. There will also be a statement at the bottom of the page giving credits to Special Made Designs and any designer if a digital kit is used in your blog design.
ADDITIONAL INFO
Special Made Designs will not participate in the designing of a blog that we consider vulgar, profane or offensive. Please do not send your deposit if your blog fits into one of those categories. If you do send it, please realize that your deposit is non-refundable. You will not get your deposit back and will not be put on the design schedule.
Excessive revisions are subject to an additional fee of $40 per hour. Special Made Designs will notify you when you start to reach the excessive point. Once you have approved the blog design and the design is installed it is considered to be complete. Any graphic or HTML revisions after the install will be subject to my hourly rate.
Please be advised that installing items like music players, slideshows, mr linky, and any widgets other than blogger gadgets is NOT within the design scope that you are hiring Special Made Designs for. Special Made Designs is not responsible for the installation of these items.
CANCELLATION
Any cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the estimated start week. When the cancellation is made, your deposit is still non-refundable and you will not be charged the remaining balance.
Please be aware that upon sending your deposit, you are agreeing to the Terms & Policies as stated on this website.
